The Pakistan Cricket Board has finally granted NOCs to some of its star players for the 2024 Caribbean Premier League, which is scheduled to begin on August 30. Players like Mohammad Amir, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman and Imad Wasim have received No Objection Certificate (NOC) and will play in all matches for their respective teams in the 2024 CPL.

However, Saim Ayub has not received an NOC as he is part of Pakistan's Test squad for the Bangladesh Series. PCB has been sceptical about issuing NOCs to its star players in the recent past and has formulated a policy that Pakistani players can only play in two franchise cricket leagues per year other than the Pakistan Super League.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Rizwan were denied NOC

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan have been denied NOCs by the PCB to play in the Global T20 Canada on the grounds that they need to stay fit and fresh for the Test series against Bangladesh.

Three of the four players who have received NOC approval from the PCB will represent the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, while Azam Khan will play for the reigning champions, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, in what is expected to be an exciting 12th season of the Caribbean's biggest cricket festival.
