The Ondo State Police said their officers had arrested 38-year-old hunter Joseph Ajegba for the killing of his friend.

The suspect said he shot his best friend when he caught him having sex with his girlfriend in the house he had rented for her at Lkun-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of ​​Ondo State.

Joseph, along with other suspected criminals, was taken to the police headquarters in Akure, the state capital.
According to him, he had dropped off bushmeat for his girlfriend earlier in the day and went out for another round of games in the evening. However, when he returned home, he was surprised to see that another man was having an asexual relationship with his girlfriend.

“I went hunting after taking some bottles of beer with me, but I ran out of bullets. I wanted to go back to my girlfriend's house to sleep.
“When I got there, I saw that the door was locked. I went to the window, opened it and saw a fellow hunter sleeping with my girlfriend. That's why I shot with the gun in my hand,” he said.
