Vande Bharat Express Train: On Thursday morning, the Vande Bharat train was pelted with stones in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. According to the railway company, this was the second such attack on Vande Bharat trains within 24 hours.

The incident took place in train number 22350 travelling from Ranchi to Patna. Stones damaged the window panes near seats 5 and 6 in coach E-1. The attack took place between Charhi and Base stations in Hazaribagh. According to information from the railways, although the windows were badly smashed, neither passengers nor train staff were injured.

Railway officials are trying to identify the culprits through CCTV footage and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has launched an investigation and filed an FIR in the case.

Stone throwing at Vande Bharat complex in Lucknow and Patna

In another stone-pelting incident, the Vande Bharat train between Lucknow and Patna was attacked yesterday evening. The window panes of the C-5 coach were broken in the attack, which took place after the train left Varanasi. Fortunately, no passenger was injured in the incident.

The police have registered the case and are currently actively investigating the matter; the railway is also conducting its own investigations.

Of particular note is the Vande Bharat Express, an indigenously manufactured, self-propelled semi-high speed train. The train is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities and offers a faster, more comfortable and convenient travel experience to the passengers. The Vande Bharat train is India's first indigenously manufactured semi-high speed train and is also called Train 18.
