Hamburg: Biker causes serious crash and flies

Serious accident on Wilhelmsburger Reichsstraße: Two cars collided during an evasive maneuver and were thrown against the guardrail. According to the police, the cause was a reckless motorcyclist.

The accident happened at around 6:45 p.m. near the Neuland junction in Harburg. According to the police, the motorcyclist was driving on the acceleration lane of the B75 and overtook a car that was traveling in the right-hand lane. Suddenly the biker pulled abruptly to the left, pulled in front of the car and immediately moved into the left lane.

However, there was also a car driving there and its driver braked hard to avoid a collision. He lost control of his car and was thrown to the right into the car driving next to him.

Both cars crashed into the guardrail and were badly damaged; one of them had its right front wheel torn off. The motorcyclist sped on.

One of the two drivers was taken to hospital for examination. The police are looking for the motorcyclist.
