UFC Vegas 97 purse and payouts: Estimated earnings for Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady this weekend

Before we head to the Sphere Stadium to take part in the epic spectacle that is UFC 306, the promotion has put together a welterweight clash that will see fan favorite Gilbert Burns take on No. 8 ranked Sean Brady. After two straight losses, Burns will be looking for a decisive win to rejuvenate his title chances while counting on a $200,000 purse.

American Sean Brady and Brazilian Burns will face off in the Octagon at the Apex facility on September 7. Many expect it to be a fight for the ages as both fighters have similar fighting styles. Unlike “Durinho”, Brady has recovered from his loss to champion Belal Muhammad and is looking to continue climbing the rankings.

Now coming to the heart of the matter – the fight bonus – Burns is expected to earn between $150,000 and $200,000, according to NY Fights, considering his previous payouts against Belal and Jack Della Maddalena were in the same range. As for Philadelphia native Brady, he is expected to earn $80,000 or more, given that his last win against Kelvin Gastelum earned him the same.

In fact, that was his only loss in the UFC, and he comes into the fight with an exceptional record of 16-1-0 in MMA and 6-1 in his seven UFC fights. Also note that purse and payout figures are usually available weeks after the event, so the numbers above are estimates and subject to change when you factor in Uncle Dana's $50,000 win bonus and other benefits.
