MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WXIX) – Police are searching for a second suspect in connection with the murder of a missing woman whose remains were found in a Middletown trash can over the summer.

Brandon Davis, 45, is wanted by Middletown Police for aiding and abetting aggravated murder.

Call 911 to report information about his whereabouts.

Police issued an arrest warrant for him while the investigation into the death of 35-year-old Asiah Slone is ongoing, a police statement said.

According to police and court records, she was shot twice in the head on or about June 6-9.

Slone was reported missing in June and her remains were found in a trash can on Centennial Street near Yankee Road on July 1.

Perry Hart, 59, was charged late last month with two counts of aggravated murder and possession of a weapon despite illegal use, as well as individual counts of murder and kidnapping.

His bail was set at $1.5 million at his arraignment on Wednesday.

In an interview with Middletown police in July, Hart stated that another person shot Slone in the head, then gave him the gun and told him to finish her off. Hart then dragged her down the stairs, moaning, and then fired the second shot into her head.

According to court documents, 59-year-old Perry Hart admitted to shooting 35-year-old Asiah Slone.

Middletown police first arrested Hart in July, a week after Slone's remains were found.

They took him into custody on two counts of weapons offense after seeing him walking around the same area with the weapons in his backpack.

According to his indictment, he is prohibited from possessing weapons due to previous arrests for serious crimes.

In August he was arrested again and charged with her murder.
