Trisha Krishnan smiles broadly as she watches Vijay's The GOAT on its first day and first showing in cinemas

Trisha Krishnan made a special cameo appearance in Venkat Prabhu's film 'The Greatest Of All Time' starring Vijay. The film released on September 5.

Actress Trisha Krishnan hit the cinemas in Chennai on Thursday to watch the film 'The Greatest Of All Time' (The GOAT) starring Venkat Prabhu and Vijay in the lead role. She was all smiles as she entered the theatre accompanied by her posse to watch the film in which she has a special cameo appearance. In a video shared by Galatta, Trisha is wearing a white designer T-shirt and jeans, her hair is open and she is carrying a bag over her shoulder. She initially looked confused as she was about to step out of a lift as there were a crowd of fans and photographers outside. But she and producer Archana Kalpathi are smiling broadly as they are flanked by security guards and enter the cinema. According to the release, Trisha watched the first screening of the film on its opening day in Chennai.

Numerous users on X (formerly Twitter) have been sharing pictures and videos of Trisha making a special appearance to dance with Vijay in a song as the filmmakers rush to get her back on set. In a video, their moves were compared to the famous song Appadi Podu from the 2004 film Ghilli, which they recreated for Matta from The GOAT. Fans are excited to see them reunited after the 2023 film Leo. Trisha and Vijay first worked together in the 2004 film and their pair was so successful that they worked together in the films Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi from 2005-8.

About The GOAT

The GOAT tells the story of Gandhi, a member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS), who takes his wife Anu and son Jeevan on a mission to Thailand. Things go wrong and Anu ends up in the hospital and Jeevan is kidnapped. Years later, when he is separated from his wife and working a desk job, terror strikes in the form of Sanjay. The film includes tributes ranging from Captain Vijayanath, SPB and Ajith's Mankatha Hook Step to his late cousin Bhavatharini and numerous Vijay films.
