Hamilton police arrest suspect in connection with Upper Wentworth Street shooting – bayobserver.ca Hamilton, Burlington and GTA

The Hamilton Police Service Shooting Response Team has arrested a juvenile after shots were fired in the area of ​​Upper Wentworth and Kingfisher Drive, near Limeridge Mall, on Sunday afternoon.

Police released footage of a man wearing a blue tracksuit with a white pattern fleeing the area and released a video of the same person on Wednesday. On Wednesday, members of the emergency unit spotted the suspect at a downtown location. The suspect was arrested without incident.

The person arrested is a juvenile who cannot be named under the juvenile justice law. He is being held pending a bail hearing and is charged with multiple weapons offenses and a juvenile probation violation.

Hamilton Police thanked the public for their assistance in identifying and arresting the suspect. Although an arrest has been made, the investigation is ongoing. The Shooting Response Team is currently holding a residence in Hamilton as part of the ongoing investigation and pending the execution of a search warrant.
