Ishay Ribo releases moving performance from historic concert at Madison Square Garden

Last year, in the Jewish month of Elul, Israeli singer Ishay Ribo made headlines in the world of Jewish music with a sold-out, record-breaking performance at Madison Square Garden – the world's most famous arena. A year later, on Rosh Chodesh Elul, he shares one of the most poignant moments of the evening, a soulful performance of the timeless Rosh Hashanah tefilla, “Meloch,” as the huge crowd, uniting every part of the Jewish community, breaks into unison singing.

Ishay Ribo – Meloch (Live at Madison Square Garden)

The release comes as Ribo prepares for a second performance at Madison Square Garden on 12 Elul, September 15, showcasing the ability of his soulful music to connect Jews of all backgrounds – secular and Haredi – and all sides of the political divide. This unique ability to bridge all boundaries catapulted Ribo to an unprecedented step: becoming the first-ever Jewish artist at Madison Square Garden, returning for a second and final sold-out year.

The upcoming concert, part of his Elul tour, promises to be a night of healing and unity after a heartbreaking year for Am Yisrael worldwide. Ishay prayed that the upcoming concert would usher in a year of comfort for the Jewish people: “May Rosh Chodesh Elul bring goodness, comfort and blessings to us and all of Am Yisrael.”
