The SAPD has arrested a gang member suspected of murdering Jennifer Rodriguez –

SANTA ANA, Calif. (September 5, 2024) – Santa Ana Police Detectives have arrested Roland Rochaa 42-year-old male suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred on July 29, 2024.

After an extensive investigation, Santa Ana Police Department Homicide Detectives concluded this was a gang-related murder and identified the suspect as Roland Rocha, 42, of Santa Ana. On September 3, 2024, Rocha was located and arrested in the City of Compton with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Rocha was arrested at the Santa Ana Jail on charges of murder (Section 187(a) of the Penal Code).

In accordance with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Rocha is charged with murder and his arraignment in Orange County Superior Court is scheduled for September 5, 2024.

On Monday, July 29, 2024, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Santa Ana Police received reports of a shooting victim in the area of ​​600 S. Harbor Blvd. Officers arrived at the scene and found a 20-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer Ninel Rodriguez of Santa Ana, who was lying near the entrance of a store with apparent gunshot wounds to her upper body.

The Orange County Fire Department was also on site and provided assistance. Despite life-saving measures, Jennifer succumbed to her injuries in the local hospital.
