Discord's activity tracker now tells everyone how long you've been playing

Discord wants to share your last playtime with your friends.

Discord's activity tracker now shows not only the games you've played in the last 30 days, but also how long you've been playing them.

And when you return to a game after a break, your tracker will show your friends that you're back.

Simply click on your friend's profile in your friends list and a pop-up will appear showing how long they've been playing since the last game they opened – or maybe not, as shown in the example from my list below.

Those who are less keen on sharing—or perhaps have their boss on their Discord friends list—can disable the activity log by going to Activity Settings > Activity Privacy > Activity Status and unchecking the “Share detected activity with others” and “Share activity status by default when joining large servers” options.

Discord has also partnered with Amazon Music Unlimited to launch a new Amazon Music Listening Party activity with a free three-month trial (availability may vary though, I'm afraid). You can also proudly link your RPG Roll20 accounts.

Late last month, Microsoft confirmed that it is expanding Discord support on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One with a number of new features, including a consolidated Xbox and Discord friends list.

Additionally, once the update is available, it will be possible to make a Discord call, jump straight into a voice channel, or watch a friend stream directly from the Xbox friends list.
