Wedding photographer allegedly secretly filmed bride's court appearance via Zoom – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – Mitchell Ringness, the Duluth wedding photographer accused of secretly filming a woman without her consent at a Freeborn County wedding venue, appeared in court Thursday.

According to the police report, a search warrant was used to confiscate a USB stick belonging to Ringness, which showed the bride putting on her dress.

This happened in 2020 at The Barn at Chapeau Stores, a wedding venue in Albert Lea.

Ringness, who is free on bail, appeared in Freeborn District Court via Zoom on Thursday and did not contest the charges or a related restraining order.

If convicted, the penalty is a minimum of one year in prison or a $3,000 fine.

Ringness' next appearance is scheduled for October 15th.
