Dog kills duck in Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad

The incident occurred in Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad.

Sandra Keller, leader of Oulton Broad Parish Council, shared the news in a statement.

She said the incident occurred sometime over the weekend of August 31 in Nicholas Everitt Park.

She further urged “all dog owners to keep their dogs under control when in the park in the future.”

The council later clarified that this means that a dog that “does not listen to commands”, “attempts to attack wildlife or other dogs” or displays any other unacceptable behaviour must be kept on a lead at all times in the park.

Dogs that are trained and well behaved can continue to run without a leash.

Nicholas Everitt Park is home to numerous play equipment, picnic areas and the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad motor and sailing clubs.
