Can the HS-Schoch-Hardox team from Lauchheim once again secure the European Championship title in front of their home crowd?

Lauchheim-Hülen. The fifth and final round of this year's 2024 Truck Trial European Championship will take place this weekend at the Schneider gravel works in Hülen. And right in the middle of it all is the HS-Schoch-Hardox team from Lauchheim, which wants to secure the European Championship title again. A huge spectacle awaits the spectators.

Up to 30 teams from seven different European countries will compete for the coveted European Championship points in extreme terrain with their four-wheel drive trucks, vintage trucks, tractors and self-propelled work machines.

Extremely difficult terrain

Truck trials are not about seconds or even tenths of a second. Truck trials are a test of skill in extremely difficult terrain.

The aim is to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles such as huge blocks of stone, steep slopes and water holes. Only those who have the courage to take risks and try to push the boundaries of what is possible can be successful in truck trial sport. It is not the fastest person to complete the course that counts. The winner is the person who goes through and over the set gates and obstacles with as few mistakes as possible. Changing direction too often is forbidden, as is stopping. This, as well as touching the gate posts, leads to penalty points. Whoever has the fewest penalty points at the end of the race wins the race. Truck trial races take place in former coal mining areas, quarries or sand pits, among other places.

Schoch/Stumpp lead

The current European Championship leaders in Category IV, Marcel Schoch and co-pilot Johnny Stumpp from the HS-Schoch-Hardox team from Lauchheim, will be taking part in Hülen. With a win this weekend in Hülen, the local heroes hope to win their 12th European Championship title.

The HS-Schoch-Hardox team is therefore particularly pleased about the support of many local motorsport fans.
