Gerrard, 44, was Rangers manager between 2018 and 2021. During his three-and-a-half-year tenure as head coach, he won the Scottish Premiership title once.

In doing so, he prevented Celtic from winning ten games in a row and the Ibrox club won the 55th league title in its history.

His team took the title, clinching it in early March and finishing the season with 102 points without losing a single game.

It was the only trophy in the former England captain's first time as a coach.

He was poached to join Aston Villa in November 2021 as the lure of the Premier League was too good an opportunity to turn down.

Gerrard stayed at Villa Park for just under a year before being sacked and replaced by Unai Emery, who remains in office to this day.

After a break from football, the former Rangers boss joined the Saudi football revolution in the summer of 2023, becoming one of numerous big names to move to the Middle East.

On July 3 last year, he was appointed manager of Al-Ettifaq and is still there, although his contract expires in 2027.
