Hollyoaks Spoilers (September 9-11)

Next week on Hollyoaksa huge week of stunts will change everything for the villagers. Cleo ends up trying to escape from Abe with dire consequences, while Warren and Dave face off and Frankie faces off against Suzanne.

This is the first week that the show will air three weekly episodes instead of five, so here's a full recap of the key stories coming your way in this exciting week of episodes:

1. Blue is lurking

After Warren escapes from prison, the police search the entire village for him, while Blue, alias Dave, also lies in wait with a gun.

Ethan and Vicky meet Dave by chance, and he acts as if nothing had happened – while the net closes in.

2. Warren makes a plan

Warren meets with Donny and Ste and confirms that the plan is to swap the kidnapped Misbah, which will bring him face to face with the elusive Blue.

But Grace later meets Donny and is worried about where Warren is, adding that she doesn't trust him to show up. She's right to be worried because Mercedes tells Warren that he needs to back out of the deal and go with her and the twins instead.

3. Misbah is afraid

Misbah is kidnapped by Rex at the hotel and tries to talk some sense into him, urging him to realize there is another way. She thinks she has convinced him, but instead Rex tells her that they are changing locations before the big swap with Warren.

4. Cleo asks for help

Cleo is nice to Abe and tells him she's sorry about what happened last night, but as he leaves for work, she packs her things and prepares to escape.

She waits at the bus stop and Joel is worried about her. Then Abe comes and confronts Cleo, but Prince manages to help her escape on the bus.

While they are on the road, Cleo calls Mercedes and asks her for help. Mercedes and Warren prepare to start a new life together, but then Mercedes receives Cleo's message and they decide to wait for her in the forest.

5. James tells the truth

James gets ready to leave for his hospital appointment after undergoing an MRI scan following a referral from the hospital.

Later, Ste confronts James in the apartment and he finally confesses to his husband that he thinks he has a brain tumor.

6. Dave saves Cleo

As Cleo changes buses, Abe manages to catch up with her and confronts her again. At this point, Dave comes by on his bike, so Cleo waves him over and asks him to take her to Warren and Mercedes.

Dave is excited at the prospect of being led straight to Warren, and they flee the scene. A motorcycle chase ensues, with Cleo in the back of Dave's bike and Abe behind in his car.

7. Warren makes a discovery

Cleo and Dave manage to shake off Abe and continue towards Warren and Mercedes. Cleo talks to Mercedes and tries to arrange a meeting place.

Dave then goes into the woods, leaving Cleo alone. Warren also goes into the woods after telling Mercedes that he will always love her. He expects to see Cleo, but finds Dave instead.

He doesn't realize that Dave is Blue, and when he learns the truth, it's too late. What will happen next?

8. Ethan opens up to Sienna

In the Dog's parking lot, Sienna and Ethan talk openly about what's going on in their lives. Ethan confesses his true feelings to his ex and tells her that he still loves her.

9. James and Ste get back together

James tells Ste that he is afraid of dying, while Ste is devastated that James has kept this huge bombshell from him.

Later, however, James tells Leah and Lucas that he and Ste are back together for good. Will they really reunite?

10. Frankie takes a stand

Jack and Frankie meet Suzanne and JJ outside The Dog. Frankie confronts Suzanne about JJ's abuse and remembers horrific incidents from her childhood that her mother had not noticed.

Frankie says she won't be silenced, while Jack also confronts Suzanne when she stresses that she never knew anything.

11. Cleo causes an accident

Cleo is still being chased by Abe and tries to get home, but she can't control the motorcycle.

It races through the market and through the front of the McQueens' house – with Marie, Jack, Suzanne and Frankie inside.

12. The village is devastated

After the tragic accident, Cleo is left lying on the ground outside while the McQueens' house is in a terrible state. Abe can't get an answer from Cleo, but before calling an ambulance, he takes the iPad from her bag.

Leela heads to the Dog and tells Tony and the Osbornes about the accident. Darren rushes to the hospital to be with Frankie and Jack.

13. Abe announces a death

At the hospital, Joel wants to know why Cleo was on the motorcycle and what she was running from. Cleo shows Leela and Joel her bruises and tells them that Abe abused her.

Joel angrily argues with Abe, but they are interrupted by the news that their mother Marie is getting worse. Later, Abe tells Cleo that Marie has died – and warns her that he will make her wish she were dead.

And sure enough, when Sally visits Cleo's hospital room, she finds the bed empty. Where have they gone?

14. Mercedes returns alone

In the forest, Mercedes desperately calls out to Warren because he has not returned after leaving for Cleo.

Later, Mercedes returns to the village with the twins and is shocked to find the McQueens' house destroyed. What happened to Warren?

When viewers next return to Hollyoaks village, a year will have passed since that fateful day…

From 9 September Hollyoaks is broadcast Monday to Wednesday with Channel 4 Streaming Premieres at 7am, then airs on E4 the same evening at 7pm.
