By Gifty Amofa

Accra, September 6, GNA – The Ghana Police Force, acting on an intelligence-led operation, has arrested three persons in connection with a robbery that took place on August 18, 2024 in East Legon in Accra.

Isaac Brena Eshun, Peter Amuzu and Ibrahim Mohammed were arrested in a series of coordinated police operations.

A press release from the Department of Public Affairs and forwarded to the Ghana News Agency said Eshun and Amuzu were arrested in Accra on August 21 and 23 respectively, while suspect Mohammed was arrested in Tamale on August 24, 2024.

Two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180 and three other vehicles, which were presumably acquired illegally, were seized as evidence.

“Investigations so far have revealed that the suspects are part of a crime syndicate involved in robberies and the sale of stolen vehicles across the country,” it said.

All suspects are in police custody, police said.
