The Jaguars have listed their only injured player as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, while Miami's extensive injury report for Week 1 has been reduced to just two scores: one player listed as questionable and another ruled out.

Below are the latest injury reports from Jacksonville and Miami for Week 1.

* shows an updated status from the previous day

Game status

analysis: Defensive lineman Arik Armstead was released from practice on Friday. There is no concern about his availability in Week 1.

Safety Daniel Thomas, who has been recovering from an Achilles tendon injury since Week 2 of the preseason, was limited in practice all week but performed well enough to give Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson hope that he will play on Sunday.

“He's made progress,” Pederson said Friday. “We were planning to get him back into training. We have one more day today and will see where he is. But we're optimistic and hope he can play.”

Jacksonville has five players on the injured list, two of whom – running back Keilan Robinson and safety Andrew Wingard – are expected to return this season.

Miami Dolphins

Four players who were granted a veterans' rest day without an injury certificate on Wednesday were removed from the list.

  • S Jevon Holland (ankle) – whole

  • LB Anthony Walker (knee/veteran rest) – full

  • S Jordan Poyer (thumb/veteran break) – full

  • DT Benito Jones (knee) – complete*

  • C Aaron Brewer (hand) — full*

  • LB Quinton Bell (thumb) – full

  • CB Jalen Ramsey (hamstring) – limited*

  • LB Jaelan Phillips (Achilles/veteran rest) – full

  • WR Malik Washington (quadriceps) – did not participate

Game status

analysis: The status of cornerback Jalen Ramsey was the biggest question mark on Miami's injury report this week, as he did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

But after announcing a three-year contract extension with Miami on Friday, Ramsey returned to work in a limited capacity, and with less than 48 hours to go until kickoff, things are looking up.

The Dolphins' injury report is missing four players from Miami's reserve or physically unable to perform list: wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn, edge rusher Bradley Chubb and linebacker Cameron Goode.

This represents eight players currently on Miami’s injured list.
