BJJ black belt Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson announces MMA retirement

UFC Champion, ONE FC Champion, black belt and MMA legend Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson announced tonight his retirement from professional mixed martial arts competition, marking the end of one of the greatest careers in the history of the sport.

“Mighty Mouse,” who earned his black belt in Jiu-Jitsu earlier this year, is one of the most successful flyweights in history, having won and defended the title more times than anyone else in multiple organizations. His highly intelligent and fast-paced style has helped him establish himself as one of the most technically skilled and dynamic fighters of all time.

Demetrious began competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions last year and has plans to continue competing in Gi events such as the IBJJF Master World Championships and Pan Championships. He has even competed in the open division, using his unique skills to defeat much larger opponents.
