Yesterday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m., a 49-year-old motorcyclist was taking a test drive on the L104 from Bernstein towards Kirchschlag. In the Redlschlag district, the motorcyclist collided with an articulated lorry that was turning in the opposite direction. The motorcycle was then thrown into an oncoming car. The driver immediately set the rescue chain in motion.

Emergency doctor could only confirm death

For the 49-year-old from the district of Wiener Neustadt, any help came too late. The emergency doctor on board the C3 rescue helicopter could only confirm the motorcyclist's death. The vehicle involved in the accident was secured on the orders of the Eisenstadt public prosecutor's office, and further police investigations are ongoing.
