Case IH increases its combine harvester production

The Axial Flow 7160 with a 12,500-litre grain tank and max. 460 hp in use

Case IH is celebrating 2024 as the “Year of the Combine Harvester” with the official launch of the Axial-Flow 160 and 260 series. There are also new AF models in the top segment with up to 775 hp.

The combines have been developed for even greater productivity and precision. The 7260 (498 hp with an 11,100 or 14,400 liter grain tank), 8260 (571 hp, 14,400 liter grain tank) and 9260 (634 hp, 14,400 liter grain tank) are now equipped with Case IH Pro 1200 terminal displays that are twice as large and have a higher resolution, and are said to offer comprehensive connectivity and automation functions. One of the most important is Harvest Command, which automatically adjusts the combine settings to one of four driving strategies set by the driver. The new Axial-Flow 160 series (including the 400 hp 6160 with 10,570 litre grain tank and the 460 hp 7160 with 12,500 litre grain tank) integrates Harvest Command automation for the first time in this power category, ensuring optimal results regardless of the operator's experience. Both Axial-Flow 160 and 260 series also feature Safeguard Connect, a combination of Case IH support services such as operator training, pre-harvest checks, FieldOps fleet management, telemetry and customer support. They are available to order now.

New AF models

Building on the momentum of the 160 and 260 series, Case IH has begun introducing new combine models at the highest power levels. Earlier this year, the new AF11, designed for the North American market with its 775 hp, was unveiled at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky. At the Farm Progress Show in Iowa at the end of August, Case IH unveiled two more models: the AF9 and the AF10. The new AF series will make its official European debut at Eima 2024 in Bologna from November 6 to 10. “With these launches, Case IH will offer the world's largest portfolio of rotary combines,” says Marco Lombardi, Head of Case IH & Steyr EMEA.
