Eight families in Zeihen are facing financial ruin: the general contractor for their houses has gone bankrupt. Lawyer Peter Berchtold knows what options those affected now have – but the information that the bankruptcy office is now giving about the general contractor does not bode well for the victims.

The desperation in Weiheracher in Zeihen is disgusting. The general contractor of the four semi-detached houses went bankrupt in mid-August. He left the eight families with not only unfinished houses, but also six-figure claims from the municipality. In addition, several tradesmen have registered construction liens and are thus claiming the money they have not received for their work.
