Drunk driver rams truck into hotel after being denied food | WATCH | Nation

PTC Newsroom: In a shocking incident, a drunk driver rammed his truck into a hotel building in Pune and was not served food and also crushed several cars parked outside the hotel.

The incident took place on Friday evening in Indrapur in Pune district when a drunk driver became enraged because the owner of a hotel in Hingangaon on the Pune-Solapur highway refused to serve him food.

The drunk driver crashed the large truck into the building. No one was killed or injured, but the hotel suffered major damage to its infrastructure.

The driver was travelling from Solapur to Pune in a container truck. He stopped and walked to the hotel to order food. The incident occurred when the hotel owner refused to serve him because he was drunk.

When the food was refused, the driver became angry, started the container truck and drove straight into the hotel. Still dissatisfied, he reversed the vehicle and destroyed several cars in the parking lot while locals tried to stop him by throwing stones at the truck.

Police filed charges against the drunk driver and arrested him at the scene of the accident. Further investigations are ongoing.
