Ariel Helwani on what makes Noche UFC 306 At The Sphere truly unique

Sean O'Malley will defend his UFC bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili on September 14, 2024, headlining UFC 306. Although the fight card looks like another UFC PPV, fans can expect unparalleled production quality during the live event and broadcast.

This is the first time UFC has renamed a card based on a sponsor (Riyadh Season) and UFC 306 is by far the most expensive event in the promotion's history. It takes place at The Sphere in Las Vegas and media members who got a first look at the planned visual experience were largely underwhelmed.

Ariel Helwani has now repeated some interesting facts that should make Noche UFC 306 an unforgettable experience for fans around the world…

From broadcast quality to haptic seats, the UFC will break several traditions in the season-long event in Riyadh

Helwani shared some outstanding facts about UFC 306 on Twitter and many things that live viewers and fans at home will experience for the first time.

For the first time in history, the UFC will use haptic seats that provide feedback on the fight action. The live audience will also be able to watch the entire event in Spanish and the fighters will wear unique gear adapted to Mexican cultural heritage.

A two-day experience for fans will be offered in Parking Lot A at the Sphere in Las Vegas, but exact details have not yet been announced.

Most importantly, the UFC has partnered with a variety of producers who have worked on major sports and entertainment shows such as Taylor Swift's Eras tour and the Super Bowl. The Riyadh Season Noche UFC crew has received the following awards:

  • One Grammy win and two nominations.
  • 29 Emmy wins and 80 nominations.
  • Two Oscar nominations.
  • One Golden Globe win and five nominations.

The organizer has also signed eight new Octagon Girls for UFC 306, who will open the rounds as usual. Not surprisingly, all of them have Mexican roots.

For fans watching from home, Riyadh Season Noche UFC will be the first UFC event of the ESPN era to be televised in 1080p, and according to Jon Anik, the UFC has made sure that the at-home experience is also commendable.

It's safe to assume that UFC 306 has everything it takes to be a groundbreaking sporting event, and now fans around the world just expect the fights to deliver on their promises.
