Bharatiya Janata Party MP Prashant Bamb has been making waves on the internet lately, and not because of his motivational speech, controversial statements or social work, but because of his dance routine. A video of the Maharashtra politician dancing to Amitabh Bachchan's superhit 'Khaike Paan Banaras Wala' has taken the internet by storm.

The viral video shows the BJP MP dressed in jeans, white shirt and Nehru jacket dancing to Big B's superhit song from the film Don. Bamb's dance performance at a show elicited mixed reactions online. Many users applauded him for his fitness while many others questioned his apathy towards the state's key issues related to the farmers' crisis and water shortage.

Many social media users questioned Bamb's seriousness about his work and asked why the plight of farmers in Marathawada region, which is suffering from crop failure, is not being discussed. Bamb is the MP from Gangapur constituency in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

He won the seat for the second time in the 2019 assembly elections. The politician from Maharashtra performed his dance routine during a programme organised on Thursday evening. Bamb had taken part in an entertainment programme organised for his party workers, the Maharashtra MP told PTI. This year's event was held at Mhaismal, a popular tourist destination in Maharashtra.

“Every year, an entertainment programme is organised for my party workers. During this year's event at Mhaismal, a famous tourist destination, I danced on the song 'Khaike paan Banaras wala'. Before that, I also sang a Lavani, which is part of the culture of Maharashtra. I see nothing wrong in it,” Bamb told PTI.
