Plainclothes police catch traders without a driving license

In Berlin-Neukölln, plainclothes police officers caught a young drug dealer red-handed. The Berlin police announced this on their WhatsApp channel on Saturday.

On Friday afternoon, plainclothes officers from Section 54 observed an 18-year-old moped driver selling a 33-year-old something from his top case. During the check, it turned out that it was cocaine.

The young man tried to flee, but was arrested after a short chase. When the officers searched the moped, they found cocaine, ketamine, amphetamine, cannabis and a large amount of cash. A mobile phone was also confiscated, which was probably used to contact customers.

It turned out that the 18-year-old did not have a driver's license. He was charged with drug trafficking and driving without a license.

His dealing was apparently an out-of-home sale: a subsequent search of his apartment was unsuccessful. The young man was released after the police had taken action. (TL)
