Crash on the A7: more accidents in traffic jams

07.09.24 – There was a crash on the A7. At around 4:50 p.m., an accident occurred between Bad Hersfeld West and Kreuzeiche (Hersfeld-Rotenburg district). There were further accidents in the traffic jam that followed. One vehicle even caught fire.

On site, our reporter found a collision between four vehicles. The accident occurred in the middle of three lanes. Two of the vehicles had several small children on board. One of the vehicles also caught fire. The Aulatal and Kirchheim fire departments were on site with 40 emergency personnel, as well as several ambulances.

According to initial information from the police, several people were injured. The police are also asking drivers to always form an emergency lane after accidents so that the emergency services can be deployed effectively. No further details are currently known. (kg) +++
