Can the murder of the 17-year-old finally be solved?

Claudia Wilbert was last seen alive on March 28, 1979. Two days later, walkers discovered her body in a hiking parking lot. To this day, no one knows who killed the young people. The perpetrator could still be walking around undetected. To change that, the police are now asking for information in the cold case. A light-colored car plays a crucial role.

17-year-old was out in the city park in the evening

The 17-year-old is said to have been in Rheinbach's city park when she disappeared. Witnesses observed her being approached by a young man in a light-colored car at around 10:10 p.m. Apparently Claudia trusted the man because she got into his car. After that, her trail goes cold. When walkers discovered a woman's body in Bad Münstereifel-Scheuren, there was sad certainty: Claudia had probably been murdered.

According to the police, the girl reported at the time that the driver of a light-colored vehicle had been following her. He drove past her several times and followed her to her front door.
