Bellator live results and highlights

Bellator MMA returned to Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California on Saturday (September 7) for a packed Champions Series card.

In the main event, Usman Nurmagomedov tried to defend his Bellator belt for the second time in the lightweight division against Alexander Shabliy.

“Peresvet” has been undefeated since joining Bellator in 2021 and is currently on a nine-fight winning streak, while Nurmagomedov is undefeated in his 17-fight professional career.

The co-main event of the evening was a battle of the challengers for the number one contender's welterweight title, pitting UFC veteran and former Bellator title challenger Lorenz Larkin against Levan Chokheli.

PFL announces debuts of former UFC champions Francis Ngannou and Cris Cyborg

Larkin had just knocked out Alan Domínguez in the first round in his PFL debut, and “The Monsoon” ended Chokheli’s three-fight winning streak when he stopped him with punches in less than two minutes.

Another highlight of the main card was Aaron Jeffery's victory over former Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima in a middleweight bout. The rest of the event also featured some impressive finishes and big wins from undefeated young talents Bryce Meredith and Jordan Newman.
