The infant was viable!

A gruesome discovery at a NATO ramp in Bonn startled a walker in 1987: In a bag he found a dead baby wrapped in bloody towels. Investigators are still puzzling over the case to this day. Could the long-awaited breakthrough finally be here?

All investigations have been successful so far

The Fritz-Schröder-Ufer in Bonn is popular with walkers. But on December 10, 1987, the Rhenish idyll became a horror scene. An open bag on the bank concealed a dark secret. At first, only the blood-stained towels fell on it. But on closer inspection, the walker discovered a baby's corpse. The infant appears to be newborn and, according to an autopsy, was said to have been viable.

The baby is said to have been born between seven and eight months pregnant and to have subsequently died as a result of external influences. Initial investigations are focusing on pregnant women who cannot provide proof of having given birth. However, all attempts to solve the terrible crime have been unsuccessful. To this day, the police are still in the dark.
