A regional court in Davao ordered the arrest of Quiboloy and his five subordinates on April 3. They are accused of violating the Child Abuse Act, particularly its provisions on sexual abuse and maltreatment of minors.

A few days later, on April 11, a court in Pasig City also issued an arrest warrant against the self-proclaimed “son of God” for aggravated human trafficking, a bail-free offense.

On August 24, around 2,000 members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) raided the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) complex in Buhangin district of Davao City to execute arrest warrants against the religious leader.

On June 10 last year, authorities raided the KJC premises for the first time, but members of the religious sect prevented them from entering the premises.
