Reports of fight near Jolly Friar: Basildon police called

Police were called to a fight near The Jolly Friar pub in Whitmore Way at around 9.15pm on Saturday 7 September.

At the scene, we found an unconscious man who had reportedly been attacked by several suspects who left the scene before police arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital for further treatment with the help of the emergency services and has since been discharged.

The police are now asking anyone who witnessed this attack or who has information about this incident to come forward.

This incident occurred on a Saturday night near a busy pub and officers believe several people there may have important information that could assist our investigation.
