Seriously injured (71) after head-on crash with motorhome

Because he failed to see oncoming traffic while overtaking a tractor, a 54-year-old man crashed his camper van head-on into the oncoming car. The driver (71) had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries, police reported.

30,000 euros in damage

The accident is said to have occurred on Sunday morning around 10 a.m. on the B198 between the towns of Karbow and Dambeck. According to police, the 54-year-old camper driver failed to see an oncoming car while attempting to overtake a tractor.

The 71-year-old driver of a Rover had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries after the head-on collision with the camper van, where he was admitted as an inpatient, according to the police. The material damage caused amounts to around 30,000 euros, and the B198 was closed for around 30 minutes after the accident.
