It's time for us to find out why travelers from all over the world have made our country the top travel destination in the world.

We see so many international travelers come through our doors. They come from almost every continent and they all say how wonderful our country is. We want to travel to their countries and often ignore what we have here in the United States.

By meeting with all of our international travelers, we came up with the idea of offering more USA trips to explore our own country. In doing so, we found some interesting new trips that may entice you to pack your bags in 2025.

Just imagine: the same language, the same money, no passports, only three time zones in this huge country, and for the most part a much shorter flight journey, even if we may have to change planes somewhere to get to a location other than the airline's hub.

We know the biggest complaint with any trip is the forced flight connections, as Reno Airport is a second class airport, adding several hours to travel time and degrading the overall flight experience, regardless of the airline.

But when you think about how fast you can actually travel between Reno and Boston or London or Sydney, you realize there is no faster way to get to far-flung destinations in a reasonably comfortable manner. Low fares come at a price.

Think back to what Mark Twain must have gone through to get anywhere in the mid-19th century. He was an experienced traveler who could be found in most European countries.

We have renewed our collaboration with Mayflower Tours to bring you some exciting and interesting new tours not offered by other tour operators that may inspire you to visit your own incredible country.

For those who have not yet visited our nation's capital, we will set off on April 11 to tour the city to see the famous cherry blossoms and visit the many Proud to be American sites that honor those who built this country.

On our tour, we sit in reserved seats at the annual Cherry Blossom Parade as participants march right in front of us. We end this six-day tour in Colonial Williamsburg. Although our region does have colorful fall foliage, there is nothing quite as spectacular as the foliage seen throughout the Midwest and New England.

The two Fall 2025 tours we offer have some interesting components and include scenic historic train rides. Many of our travelers have experienced the incredible stay at the historic Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan and have returned with rave reviews.

You'll spend two nights at this famous hotel, reached by horse-drawn carriage, and experience so many other great adventures on this tour that you may want to consider it, especially since the included airfare is only $249 per person.

We start in Chicago on September 19th and end in Detroit, where we follow Lake Michigan north and see incredible scenery.

The plan is to spend two days in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada, and take an autumnal train ride on the Algoma Central Railway, a 183-kilometre (114-mile) journey through the beautiful Algoma wilderness that takes you through Northern Ontario.

Ford Motor Co. fans can look forward to watching the F-150 being assembled at the Ford plant. To receive this special flight offer, bookings must be made by September 30th.

For those who want to experience the fall foliage in New England, we have that too. Departing for Boston on October 10th, we'll travel through Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Three train excursions and three cruises are planned to show you how beautiful this part of our country is.

This eight-day tour offers free flights and 14 meals, sightseeing and more. Must be booked by October 31 this year, but the early bird always catches the worm. We think this deal will go fast. For some of us, the holidays can be a downer.

Not Christmas 2025 when you join us for Christmas in Vermont, departing December 9. Imagine horse-drawn sleigh rides, two nights at the famous Trapp Family Lodge – think “Sound of Music” – where the Von Trapps still run this amazing property with a beer hall!

We fly to and from Burlington, Vermont, visiting Stowe, Woodstock and Manchester. Stops include a visit to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, where the hand-crafted bears are made. Come see why Frank Sinatra and so many other famous singers loved to sing about “Moonlight in Vermont.”

Travel is a privilege we should all enjoy while we still can, regardless of our age. Mark Twain wrote: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely for these reasons. A broad, healthy, benevolent view of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating all one's life in one little corner of the earth.”

Never been on a group tour before? Try one of our select tours and see how easy traveling can be! To see the full itineraries and costs for these trips, sign up or visit the Chamber of Commerce at 1900 S. Carson St.

We'll gladly send you anywhere you want to go! Make 2025 the year you visit at least one destination in the USA!
