Schenectady man arrested for burglary at Home Depot, officials say

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said it arrested Tyler J. Marley, 31, of Schenectady on Sept. 4 for burglary and illegal possession of a controlled substance while entering a Home Depot in Halfmoon Crossing.

Authorities responded to a trespassing call at the Halfmoon store at 8:28 p.m., which, after an investigation, led to Marley's arrest.

He is accused of entering and remaining at the Home Depot building without permission with the intent to commit a crime. Before the incident, he was allegedly informed that he did not have permission to be on the premises, officials said.

According to the sheriff's office, he is also charged with willful and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Marley was charged with third-degree burglary and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned on the above charges and on a warrant for second degree bail jumping in Halfmoon Municipal Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further action in the matter.
