What is the series “Return to Paradise”, the spin-off to “Death in Paradise”, about?

The Australian series is about police officer Mackenzie Clarke. She was once the high-flyer of the London police force, who was able to crack almost every case with an intuitive approach before she had to return to her beautiful but hated Australian hometown of Dolphin Cove on the coast of the continent.

Six years ago they had vowed never to return, leaving behind many unanswered questions and unresolved issues, and so they were not exactly greeted by an enthusiastic welcoming committee.

But when a murder occurs, Mack uses her skills as an investigator to get to work. She also decides to make the best of her situation and maybe even smooth things over with the man she left at the altar…
