The case modding scene is known for its creative and often funny ideas. While we showed you an elaborately designed PS5 in Space Marine 2 design at the weekend, where the artistic aspect and the show value were clearly the main focus, we now have a computer for you that is more of a curious fun project.

SuchLikeDuck_YT and his son created the modding classic and built their PC in an old microwave and shared the result with the Reddit community.

Father-son duo builds the classic: PC meets microwave

In one part of the joint father-son project, the two hobbyists built almost their entire PC into the back of a microwave. However, the two had to get creative with the power supply and temporarily placed it on the turntable in a KFC box.

You can see the shared pictures of the PC microwave here:

The 2nd screen was also considered: In the first picture you can see that even the microwave door has been converted into a monitor. The two write:

There is also a working laptop screen in the door that can be used as a second monitor alongside a main monitor.

PC microwave packed GTA 5

As is well known, a fun project in the case modding scene is not complete if at least Doom or another classic game does not run on the converted machine. According to the two hobbyists, they played GTA 5 on their PC microwave and joke:

I played GTA V on it once. The thing is, if you beat me in a game, well done. You beat someone who is playing on their microwave.

The fun project is also well received in the comments and many users make suggestions on how the PC microwave could be made even better.

For example, Pacu99 writes “Please tell me that the start button is also the power button of the PC“. Another Redditor also suggests that the microwave's number pad also works as a number pad for the computer and that the microwave's “ding” sound should also be heard when the computer starts up.
