German tourist arrested in Arenal

Hotel staff called the National Police to report a guest who had damaged his room. Upon arrival, officers spoke to staff who explained that a young man had entered the Reception with air conditioningand claimed it was too cold.

After observing the young man's behavior, the staff decided to notify the authorities. A joint patrol of the Operational Response Group (GOR), consisting of Officers of the National Police and the German Policearrived at the scene of the accident. Officers interviewed guests in the room where the incident occurred and confirmed the damage.

The air conditioning was removed, which led to Damage to the electrical system and wiring. Following their investigations, the Spanish and German police arrested the 21-year-old German on suspicion of property damage.
