Helldivers 2: Optimizations continue

As is already known, things have not been going so well for “Helldivers 2” since the release of the “Escalation of Freedom” update. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios then announced a 60-day plan for improvement and has now explained how it will proceed.

The first step is to optimize the player experience in “Helldivers 2” by tweaking the balance. This affects weapons and equipment, for example. After that, the team wants to focus on enemies and provide better rewards for eliminating them – provided the player does it with the right tools. Bugs should of course also be a thing of the past in this context.

In the sequel to the acclaimed top-down shooter from 2015, up to four eponymous Helldivers go into battle against the threat of alien invaders on Super Earth. From a third-person perspective, players use a variety of weapons and tactical equipment to take down their opponents.

“Helldivers 2” also offers a crossplay function. This means that players of the PS5 version can play together with PC users – and vice versa. The community and teamwork are the most important pillars of the game, so it was important to the team at Arrowhead Game Studios that people can come together regardless of the system.

“Helldivers 2” was released on February 8th for PS5 and PC.
