Police investigate hit-and-run accident in Paisley Kings Street

The boy was accompanied by a young girl who was not involved in the incident. The occupants of the van got out to check on the boy and then drove away.

The boy was released from the hospital after being examined by doctors.

Police are currently investigating the incident, which occurred at 3.15pm on Tuesday 3 September 2024, and would like to speak to the drivers of the white Berlingo van involved in the accident.

Officers say the occupants were male and were wearing purple tops. It is believed several people witnessed the incident and officers are asking them to come forward.

Constable Renee Aitken said: “We need to establish exactly what happened and I am appealing to anyone who was in the King Street area at the time of the incident to contact us.

“Your information could be crucial to clarifying the whole matter, so please contact us.”
