Shooting in North Fort Myers neighborhood leaves one injured

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a shooting off Coon Road, near Bayshore Road, in North Fort Myers.

Fox 4's Bella Line was on the scene and neighbors in the quiet riverfront neighborhood said they were shocked to learn what happened just steps from their front door.

“When we woke up, there were news agencies, police and homicide detectives in the yard. We honestly didn't know it had happened,” said Ryan Clayton, a neighbor. “I know the neighbors here. I know everyone very well. This is a very quiet neighborhood. This kind of thing doesn't happen.”
