Malik Willis is the next man up in Green Bay.

LaFleur told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Packers do not plan to place Love on the injured list, suggesting the current starter could be back within the next four weeks.

Love suffered a knee injury on the Packers' final drive in Week 1, a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.

Love's injury is diagnosed He suffered an MCL sprain and is expected to be out three to six weeks. While it would have been tempting to add another quarterback, considering what Green Bay has in Willis, it makes sense.

A second-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2022, Willis has played in 12 games in his career. He has a 1-2 record and has thrown for 350 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions in his few appearances.

He was traded to the Packers on August 26th and was used as the team's backup ahead of Clifford. Although Green Bay is already reluctant to rely on him, his dual-threat skills and past performance make him an interesting development option for the team.

The Packers host the Colts in Week 2 and hope Willis can help the team avoid a dreaded 0-2 start.
