San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey married former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo during the off-seasonAccording to Vogue, the couple tied the knot on Saturday, June 29, at a church in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, their home state.

About her wedding, Culpo told the magazine: “It is a covenant. It is the beginning of the rest of your life – and it is the union and bonding of two people for ever..”

Who is Olivia Culpo?

I come from the city of Cranston, Culpo was crowned Miss USA in June 2012 before winning the Miss Universe global beauty pageant the following December. Since then, she has remained closely involved with Miss Universe, returning to the pageant several times as a co-host – including the 2023 pageant in El Salvador in November – and has also worked as a judge and backstage correspondent.

Culpo and McCaffrey became a couple in 2019after being introduced to each other by friends. In a 2022 Instagram post, Culpo recalled that her initial reluctance to be paired with the then-Carolina Panthers running back quickly evaporated when she met the “sweet, vulnerable and humble” McCaffrey.

“When my best friends Kristen and Tyler called me and asked if I would be willing to meet their boyfriend Christian, I was worried,” Culpo wrote. “I was scared it would be the same old story and that all boys are the same.
