Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor Vikas Sethi dies of cardiac arrest at the age of 48

Actor Vikas Sethi died in his sleep on Saturday night in Nashik due to cardiac arrest, news agency PTI reported. He was 48 years old. According to his wife Jhanvi Sethi, they were in Nashik to attend a family function. “When we reached my mother's house in Nashik, he was vomiting and had diarrhoea. He did not want to go to the hospital, so we asked the doctor to come home…”, PTI reported. “When I tried to wake him up at around 6 am (on Sunday), he was no longer there. The doctor there told us that he died in his sleep last night due to cardiac arrest,” she told PTI.

His mortal remains have been sent to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai for postmortem, Jhanvi said. The last rites will be performed in Mumbai on Monday.

Vikas' last Instagram post was on Mother's Day. Vikas shared a cute picture on Instagram and wrote, “HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY… MOMMY LOVE YOU. @surakshasethiofficial.” Check it out:

Vikas Sethi is survived by his wife and their twin sons. Vikas Sethi is best known for television shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga and Sasural Simar Ka. In Kahiin To Hoga, he played Swayam Shergill and in Kasautii Zindagi Kay, he played the role of Prem Basu. Apart from daily soaps, Vikas Sethi is also remembered for his brief appearance in the 2001 superhit film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, in which he played Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor Khan).
