MANILA – The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC), which is trying the cases against religious leader Apollo C. Quiboloy and his co-defendants, has ordered their “immediate” transfer from the Philippine National Police (PNP) detention center in Camp Crame to the Quezon City Jail.

In a September 9 order, Judge Noel L. Parel of RTC Branch 106 ordered that Quiboloy and co-accused Cresente Canada be remanded to the New Quezon City Jail on Payatas Road, Bagong Silangan.

The three other female co-defendants – Jackielyn W. Roy, Ingrid C. Canada and Sylvia Cemañes – were ordered transferred to the women’s dormitory of the QC prison in Camp Karingal.

The decision also set September 13 as the date for the arraignment of the five defendants.

The five were arrested on September 8 at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) complex in Davao City.

Quiboloy was also indicted by a U.S. federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, and sex trafficking of children, conspiracy, and large-scale cash smuggling.
