By Shelton Muchena, England| In a heartbreaking turn of events, Barbara Nomakhosi, a 35-year-old Zimbabwean woman and former member of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, was found dead in her home in Bury, Greater Manchester, last Friday night. She was found at 10.30pm with multiple injuries, and her untimely death has left her family and community shocked and saddened.

That same night, a 40-year-old man believed to be linked to Barbara's death was tragically killed when he was struck by a lorry on the M65 motorway between Blackburn and Accrington. Authorities are treating the incident as a suspected suicide, raising questions about the circumstances of Barbara's death. Police have stated that no other suspects are being sought and there is no major danger to the public.

Barbara had moved to the UK with dreams of a better future and worked diligently as a carer, drawing on her experience from her previous role in the police force in her home country. Her family released a touching tribute, saying: “Barbara was a caring and hardworking person. She was so thoughtful and always looked after her family and friends. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed working as a carer. We loved Barbara so much and life would not be the same without her.”
