England vs Finland LIVE: Nations League scores, team news, commentary and updates

“It’s important that we’re exciting to watch”published at 19:43 British Summer Time

England – Finland (19:45 CEST)

England got off to a good start against the Republic of Ireland in the noisy Aviva Stadium and caretaker coach Lee Carsley will now be hoping to put in a good performance in front of the English fans.

“I still want to see us play with that control,” he said. “I think it's important that we're exciting to watch.”

“I think when fans come to an England home game they expect attacking football, they expect chances to be created, they expect us to play at speed and they expect us to keep the ball. I can't imagine it being any different.”

Carsley was impressed with what he saw from his players in Dublin and will be looking to build on that when he pits the team against the lowest-placed team in Group B2.

“I'm really looking forward to the game. We've had a couple of good practices since the last game, so I'm excited,” he said. “But what I've noticed about this group is how motivated they are to do well.”

“We should really look forward to the home game, especially at Wembley, on a pitch like this and in an arena like this.”
