Man City star Rico Lewis will start England's Nations League clash against Finland, while Lee Carsley will make several changes following his impressive debut win against the Republic of Ireland

Manchester City’s young Rico Lewis is expected to play for England in the match against Finland at Wembley.

The 19-year-old full-back will be hoping to make only his second senior appearance for the UEFA Nations League clash. He will replace Chelsea star Levi Colwill, who started in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland.

Caretaker manager Lee Carsley is considering two further changes to his defence, with centre-backs John Stones and Ezri Konsa expected to start ahead of Marc Guehi and Harry Maguire, who played in Dublin.

Carsley has announced that he will make changes to the team that beat Ireland at the weekend in a bid to improve the fitness of his players.

“We have to be realistic and realise that the players who didn't have much free time in the summer may not have had as many minutes when they come back. We can expect them to play with the pace and physicality we expect, especially in a game in Dublin.

“I didn't want to put them in a position where you could almost see what they didn't do well when they didn't do it well.”

“It just gave us an opportunity to work with them a little more during the week and then put them in a position … and there are maybe four or five that needed that extra work and that extra day of training, which will hopefully help them.”

Expected England team: (4231): Pickford; Trent; Stones, Konsa, Lewis; Gomes, Rice; Saka, Grealish, Gordon; Kane
