Tyrese Gibson Says Judge 'Hates Me With All My Heart' In Ongoing Child Support Dispute (Exclusive)

Tyrese Gibson claims the judge overseeing the child support dispute between him and his ex-wife “may hate me with all his heart.”

The 45-year-old singer and actor was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia on Monday, September 9, after the judge found him guilty of contempt of court. He was ordered to pay $73,500 to avoid prison time.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Gibson claims the judge has a vendetta against him.

He “dislikes me from the bottom of his heart,” Gibson says of the judge, adding: “He wants to assert his power and he doesn't care who's watching.”

“It’s unbearable to be in court with him,” says Gibson.

The actor's arrest followed Lee's request to be held in contempt of court for allegedly failing to pay child support. The judge ruled that Gibson could be released from prison if he could “clear himself of his contempt” by paying about $73,500 to Fulton County officials.

Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show that Gibson plans to appeal the ruling.

Gibson, who also has 17-year-old daughter Shayla with ex-wife Norma Mitchell, expressed his displeasure in his Instagram stories early Tuesday, September 10.

“Being arrested was not easy… In fact, it was very traumatic… One might ask why this judge… and my ex Samantha… HATE ME SO MUCH?”

Before his hearing on Monday, Gibson hinted that a possible arrest was imminent and insisted that he had “always taken care of my children” despite the disputes with his ex in court.

“I'm a dad. And you know why I'm a dad? Not because of what I bought them, not because of the clothes, not because of the square footage of the house, not because of the cars in the driveway and definitely not because of this fake jewelry that I'm wearing,” Gibson said in his video. “I'm a dad because that exchange between your son or your daughter is not something that can be bought.”

He later posted a carousel of photos of his daughters on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “The love a father can feel for his children cannot be fully explained…. Whatever happens today… I am and will forever be their FATHER.”
