Kamala Harris wears wired Apple headphones and becomes a conspiracy theory in the election campaign

Kamala Harris is the subject of the latest US political conspiracy theory for wearing wired Apple headphones, with some accusing her of doing so on purpose to avoid having to speak to the press.

Harris has come under criticism for not speaking much to the media since she became the Democratic candidate to succeed current US President Joe Biden in the upcoming November election.

Harris was recently spotted wearing wired headphones while filming.

And some on social media are claiming that this is a deliberate tactic to avoid interacting with the media or answering questions from them.

A social media user who posts as Brick Suit on X/Twitter called it “sad.”

Tomi Lahren, a right-wing commentator, said: “You get the feeling her campaign team deliberately made her use those old-fashioned headphones to make it clear that she was on the phone and therefore couldn't interact!”

Another called it a “joke” after Harris appeared to hold her phone to her ear while still wearing headphones to make it clear she was on the phone.

However, Harris wearing wired headphones doesn't seem to be anything new, as she has been seen wearing or holding them many times over the years.

While telling Biden her famous phrase “We did it” on the phone following the results of the 2020 election, Harris is seen holding wired headphones in her left hand.

There is speculation that Harris does not use wireless headphones for security reasons, as Bluetooth can be easily tampered with.

Politico even went so far as to call Harris “Bluetooth-phobic.”

Harris wearing wired headphones is nothing new, but it is not known whether she did so intentionally on this occasion to avoid having to speak to the media.
